AM Engineering Products provides Sandblasting Services to customers all around the country.

Also known as “abrasive blasting,” sandblasting is the process of smoothing (or roughening) and cleaning a hard surface by forcibly propelling a stream of solid particles across that surface under high pressure and speed.

The term “sand” in sandblasting is a general term used to reference any tiny bit of material. Spray-Tech Finishing stays away from real sand because it contains silica – a material found naturally that can cause debilitating lung disease after it breaks down into dust and enters the lungs. Aluminium oxide is our preferred blasting agent but we utilize various other blasting materials as well.

Media selection is critical when considering that different media types come with varying qualities like density, particle size, hardness, etc.
